MURA organised once or twice a year ultra running boot camp for members. It aims at providing within the span of a weekend a great experience for existing ultra runners and for newbies ultra runners. The boot camp are structured around 3 pillars:
- Providing the knowledge and hands on to improve
- Combining great outdoor experiences and practices for the gained knowledge
- Inspiring and motivating you with great speakers
Our upcoming boot camp is on December 15 – 16 2018 in Bukit Tinggi, on the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur with the following agenda and speakers:
The Bootcamp will be held on December 15 and 16, 2018 in Selesa Resort at Bukit Tinggi. We will be having a full Saturday there and Sunday until lunch. There will be 2 trail runs in Bukit Tinggi / Janda Baik surroundings, with plenty of elevation so be ready with your trail shoes. In the evening, we will have an interactive forum with the invited speakers. Plenty to discuss afterward and some great mingling time with our speakers: Jeffrey Ross / Mark Williams (to be confirmed), BJ Teoh, Karsten Korbel, Sophia Ho and Yim Heng Fatt. We will cover the preparation for your ultras, navigation knowledge, methods to avoid and prevent injuries along the appropriate strength training for your races.
Fee is RM180 for MURA members and RM220 for non MURA members. A MURA T-Shirt is included in that price along with:
– one night stay at Selesa Resort at Bukit Tinggi in a twin shared room
– Saturday and Sunday lunch
– Saturday tea breaks
– Saturday dinner
– Sunday morning breakfast

Some of the items you will be required to bring along are your trail shoes, headlamp, hydration bag or bottle, trekking poles, watch with GPX or phone with GPX Viewer installed and yoga mat. A confirmation email along with the list of items to bring will be sent to you nearing the date of the event.
Seats are limited. First come, first served. Registration will close on 30 November 2018 or once the seats are taken up.
